The Cybersafe Second – Q&A #5

Q: What is a honeypot?

A: A honeypot is a sacrificial computer system that's intended to attract cyberattacks, like a decoy.

It mimics a target for hackers and uses their intrusion attempts to gain information about cybercriminals and the way they operate. It can also distract from other targets.

Don't get scared.

While honeypots can distract from other targets, they don’t eliminate risks completely. Continuous Security Monitoring by Cybersafe Solutions gives an additional layer of protection by continuously scanning your systems for threats.
