TBI’s BIG Event will take place virtually, August 17-21, and feature a distinguished list of keynote speakers, lectures, demonstrations, and educational and networking opportunities.
On Tuesday of the event, Cybersafe Co-Founder and Chief Security Strategist Domenick Gandolfo will serve as a panelist for a discussion entitled “Small Business, Big Risk - SMB Security Strategies.”
The discussion will cover the cybersecurity risks small businesses face as well as “options that all SMB customers should consider in preparation for and mitigation of inevitable threat actors.”
“All businesses require a strong cybersecurity program. Small to midsize businesses are more susceptible to cyberattacks because they generally lack the time, money, and resources for a truly effective cyber defense, "Gandolfo said. "Most of these organizations continue to take a prevention-only approach. When prevention fails, and it will, they are normally left blind to the initial intrusion, which ultimately results in significant financial and reputational damages. To avoid this costly situation, there needs to be an equal balance of prevention, detection, and response. I’m looking forward to sharing Cybersafe’s expertise with BIG Event attendees, so they will walk away with a better understanding and approach to building out a truly effective cyber defense platform that is both reasonable and appropriate for their organization.”
Gandolfo brings to the panel more than two decades of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and compliance. Prior to joining Cybersafe and as the company’s Chief Security Strategists, he’s worked with businesses of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, to improve their cybersecurity posture in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
